On The Other Side - Abstract Art

Majority of my day is spent in my studio all alone and I am pretty much comfortable on my own.

The reason for doing these abstract artworks is to have some kind of meaning or idea within its layers and it's kind of mental freedom for me.

“It doesn’t make much difference how the paint is put on as long as something has been said. The technique is just a means of arriving at a statement.”— Jackson Pollock

Here is the process.

I started with 'Pouring acrylic' - and it takes a lot of time to dry.

After almost 7 hours the paint was left for drying. I like mixing poster with oil and acrylics as it gives a nice texture to my work. I usually contemplate something that interests me for a period of time, and once I have a picture I simply start putting the paints on the canvas. But even after hours and sometimes days of contemplation my work is more process based.

Ready for the next elements:

Some more acrylic poring required to make it balanced and give proper wings to the bird.

I am extremely satisfied with the outcome especially the color combinations used in the compositions. Let me know in comments how you feel about this one?

Love. Swati ❤️
